I was ready to be sent. Never before have I ever been so sure of what the Lord was calling me into. If you would have told me a couple of years ago that I would drop everything, from selling my house to moving to GA… I would have told you that you were crazy, life was just fine, yet so empty. No matter how many things we try to fill our life with, they will never satisfy us like Christ can.  It’s amazing how the Lord works. I have officially abandoned all my comforts and sometimes it’s extremely terrifying to think about. However, something about surrendering your all and giving it to the Lord is a sweet thing. What if you just let go of control over your life and allowed God to refine and mold you into the person of Jesus? What if you let go of trying things your way? What if you stopped being the god of your own life? What if you allowed God to be God? Would your life look differently?

Surrendering your life to Christ is giving him everything, not just pieces of your life that you feel comfortable giving. It’s not just the tough times when you’ve hit rock bottom and all you can do is pray for help. Surrendering your life to Christ is dying to yourself daily, picking up your cross and following him. It’s not a one time prayer, it’s a daily surrender. This world is a fleeting world. We are here for a moment and then vanish. How will you spend your life? Surrendered to a good and just God or surrendered to a dying and sinful world?

A verse I want you all to soak in is:

“For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised. From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
